Hardware Test Engineer Job Duties:
- Work with engineering development team on system bring up and design validation
- Write test plans, execute testing, and create test reports during hardware development
- Support the team in debug, troubleshooting, and failure analysis investigation
- Able to design sub-circuits such as DC-DC power converters or portions of engineering solutions (such as evaluation boards) based on established engineering principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements
Hardware Test Engineer Job Requirements:
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of experience working in a hardware R&D lab environment. Experience with modern analog, power electronics (DC/DC,AC/DC) and digital circuits
- Proficient in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, current probes, logic analyzers
- Experience working from schematics, CAD drawings, rough engineering drawings and/or verbal instructions
- Proficient with schematic capture tools such as Orcad, Cadence Concept
- Proficiency with lab automation tools such as basic scripting skills, labview etc. is a plus
- Good analytical and organizational skills, coupled with a well-focused attention to detail
- Strong communication skills,documentation skills, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams. Ability to execute own work with minimal supervision.
